The highlights of Saint-Saëns oeuvre are the Organ Symphony (1866) and the opera 'Samson et Dalila' (1877). Dutch arranger Roger Niese transcribed the 'Bacchanele' for the Brass Ensemble of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam.
