Vlavio Bar wurde 1964 in Turin geboren. Er besuchte das "A. Vivaldi Conservatory of music" in Alessandria, wo er unter Master Avanzini studierte und weiters Musikensemblekurse unter der Leitung von Master Ferrero besuchte. Weiters studierte er antike Musik und Blockflöte an der "Scuola Civica" in Turin bei Master Sergio Balestracci. Zusätzlich besuchte er auch Kurse im Fach der Banddirektion und der Bandmusikkomposition in Riva del Garda bei solchen Größen wie Johan De Meij und Désiré Dondeyne. Während seiner Karriere war er auch zwischen 1986 und 1991 beim "RAI Symphonic Orchestra" Trompeter. Nebenbei spielte er aber auch noch im "Ghedini" Jugendorchester in Fossano, im "Amadeus" Orchester, der zeitgenössischen Musikgruppe "Ensemble Mosaico" in Grugliasco, unter der Leitung von Master Flavio Gatti, sowie im "Eporediese orchestra" in Ivrea, im "Gabrieli" Trio in Fossano und in zahlreichen anderen Gruppen. Von 1987 bis 1997 unterrichtete er am "Susa Musical Institute" das Fach Trompete und derzeit fungiert er als Trompetenlehrer am "Turin Instituto Civico". Noch zu erwähnen wäre die Funktion des Leiters der "Turin Municipal Police band" zwischen 1987 und 1994. Zurzeit dirigiert er die "Caprie and Carmagnola bands". In der italienischen Popgruppe "Statuto" spielt er ebenfalls aktiv als Trompeter. Während all dieser aktiven Tätigkeiten konnte er noch für die Komposition von Bandmusik Zeit finden.

Born in Turin in 1964, he graduated in trumpet from the "A. Vivaldi" Conservatory of music in Alessandria with Master Avanzini and also attended music ensemble courses held by Master Ferrero. He studied antique music and recorder at the Scuola Civica in Turin under Master Sergio Balestracci. He has also frequented courses on band direction and band music composition in Riva del Garda under Masters of international fame such as Johan De Meij and Désiré Dondeyne. He was trumpeter with the RAI Symphonic Orchestra between 1986 and 1991, during which time he also played with the "Ghedini" youth orchestra in Fossano, the "Amadeus" orchestra, the contemporary music group "Ensemble Mosaico" in Grugliasco, directed by Master Flavio Gatti, the "Eporediese orchestra" in Ivrea, the "Gabrieli" trio in Fossano, the Turin brass quintet, the City of Turin wind orchestra, the "Stefano Tempia" orchestra in Turin and he represented Italy with the brass group "Altemburg" (Bavaria) in the concerts held at "Villa Vigoni" in Menaggio in 1991. He taught the trumpet at the Susa Musical Institute from 1987 to 1997 and is currently teacher of trumpet at the Turin Instituto Civico. He directed the Turin Municipal Police band between 1987 and 1994. He is currently director of the Caprie and Carmagnola bands and in 1997 he also resumed direction of the Turin Municipal Police band. He is trumpeter with the pop italian group "Statuto". Meanwhile he also composed band music in collaboration with the Turin-based music publishers, Scomegna.
