Christian Roos, 1967 in Mannheim geboren, studierte an der "Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik" in Karlsruhe. Ab 1993 absolvierte er ein Aufbaustudium an der Royal Academy of Music in London, welches er 1995 mit Dip RAM, der höchsten Auszeichnung, abschließen konnte. Christian Roos ist erster Preisträger des Christian Carpenter Piano Recital Wettbewerbs 1994, dem wichtigsten Klavierwettbewerb der Royal Academy. Außerdem war er zweiter Preisträger beim Lilian Davies Beethoven Piano Concerto Wettbewerb und erhielt den Chappell-Preis für herausragendes Final Recital. Neben der Komposition "Die fünf Jahreszeiten", eine Auftragskomposition des Kulturförderkreises des City-Ring Singen, konnte Christian Roos noch durch die Vertonung des Romans "Momo" von Michael Ende auf sich aufmerksam machen.

Christian Roos, born in Mannheim in 1967, studied at the "Staatliche Hochschule für Musik" (State College of Music) in Karlsruhe. In 1993 he started with additional studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, which he could complete with a Dip RAM, the utmost honour, in the year 1995. Christian Roos is the first award-winner of the Christian Carpenter Piano Concerto competition and was granted the Chappell-award for his outstanding Final Recital. It was not only by the work "Die fünf Jahreszeiten" (The Five Seasons), a composition commissioned by the culture supporting committee of the City-Ring Singen, but also by the setting of the novel "Momo" by Michael Ende that Christian Roos could gain public attention.
