Mark Bailey wurde 1951 in Toronto geboren. Er studierte die Fächer Trompete und Theorie am "Humber College". Danach zog er 1980 nach Ottawa, wo er seine Studien bei Steven Gellman und David Hilldinger fortsetzte. Derzeit arbeitet er als Arrangeur in der "Central Band Of The Canadian Forces" in Ottawa. Er komponierte und arrangierte zahlreiche Stücke für Besonderheiten wie die "CBC's 1993 Parliament Hill gala" und die TV Dokumentation "The Meanest Man in Prison", genauso wie für viele CBC FM Radioprogramme. Herr Bailey schrieb zahlreiche Kompositionen für Konzertband, die in Canada und Europa oftmals aufgeführt werden. Erst kürzlich beendete er die Arbeit an dem berühmten Weihnachtsalbum "What a Miracle". Diese Auswahl wurde auch auf CBC Radio ausgestrahlt.

Mark Bailey was born in Toronto in 1951. He studied trumpet and theory at Humber College then, upon moving to Ottawa in 1980, furthered his studies with Steven Gellman and David Hilldinger. Presently a staff arranger in the Central Band Of The Canadian Forces in Ottawa, he has also composed and arranged scores for a number of features including CBD's 1993 Parliament Hill gala and CTV's documentary "The Meanest Man in Prison" as well as for many CBC FM radio programs. Mr. Bailey has written many compositions for concert band which have been performed frequently across Canada and Europe. He recently finished writing music for and co-producing a popular Christmas album "What a Miracle", selections of which have aired on CBC radio.
