Ken McCoy, einstweiliger Direktor der Bands der "North Carolina State University" ist der ehemalige Chefarrangeur der "United State Army Field Band", Washington, D.C. "The Field Band" ist das offizielle Tourneemusikensemble der "United States Army". Während der Zeit seiner Pensionierung von der "Field Band" hatte McCoy die militärische Stellung des Sergeant Major. Ken McCoy's Arrangements und Kompositionen wurden in allen amerikanischen Staaten und auch im Ausland wie in Japan, Korea, Indien, England, Frankreich, Deutschland, Kanada und Mexiko aufgeführt. Seine Originalkomposition "We The People", die anlässlich des 200-jährigen Jubiläum der Amerikanischen Konstitution geschrieben wurde, wurde von der "US Army Field Band and Soldiers Chorus" im Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC uraufgeführt. Vor dem Beitreten zur "Field Band" unterrichtete McCoy Instrumentalmusik an den öffentlichen Schulen in Greenville und Versailles, Ohio. Seine Musikausbildung beinhaltet den "Bachelor" in Musikerziehung von der "University of North Texas State", wo er in der weltbekannten "One O'Clock Jazz Lab Band" Trompete spielte, sowie "Masters Degree" in Musikerziehung von der "Ohio State University". Er war stellvertretender Direktor (1995-96-97) der "Ohio State University Marching Band". Professionelle Auftritte veranstaltete er mit "Si Zentner and Les Elgart Orchestras" sowie mit Mitgliedern der "US Army Field Band".

Ken McCoy, Interim Director of Bands at "North Carolina State University", is the former Chief Arranger for "The United State Army Field Band", Washington, D.C. The Field Band is the Official Touring Musical Ensemble of the United States Army. At the time of his retirement from the Field Band, McCoy had attained the military rank of Sergeant Major. Ken McCoy's arrangements and compositions have been performed in all 50 states and many foreign countries including Japan, Korea, India, England, France, Germany, Canada and Mexico. And his original composition, "We The People", commemorating the 200th Anniversary of "The United States Constitution", was premiered by "The US Army Field Band and Soldiers Chorus" at Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Prior to joining the Field Band, Mr. McCoy taught public school instrumental music in Greenville and Versailles, Ohio. Educational background: Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Texas State, where he played trumpet in the world famous "One O'Clock Jazz Lab Band", and Masters Degree in Music Education from "The Ohio State University". He was a Graduate Assistant Director (1995-96-97) of "The Ohio State University Marching Band. Professionally, Mr. McCoy has performed with the Si Zentner and Les Elgart Orchestras as well as components of the "US Army Field Band".
