Im Alter von nur 14 Jahren komponierte er sein erstes Lied, das ein sofortiger Erfolg wurde. Er zog 1920 nach Mailand, wo er die meiste Zeit seines Lebens verbrachte und wo er Perioden von großer Beliebtheit erlebte. Durch Cesare Andrea Bixio wurde es dem italienischen Lied erst möglich seine eigene Identität zu finden. Bixio's Name erscheint nicht nur in der Geschichte der italienischen Popmusik, sondern auch als Komponist, als Verleger und Schallplattenproduzent, als Begründer des Verlagshauses "BISIO CEMSA" im Jahre 1921 und später auch durch die Schallplattenfirma "CINEVOX", das heute von seinen Söhnen geleitet wird.

At the age of just fourteen he composed his first song, which was an immediate success. He moved to Milan in 1920, where he lived for most of his life, enjoying periods of great popularity. The four songs included in this arrangement are among his most popular, and of these, "Parlami d'amore Mariu" and "Mamma" are currently included in the repertoires of the great lyrical tenors. Cesare Andrea Bixio laid the foundations on which the Italian song could start to build an identity of its own, as it strove to cast off the sterotype of the Viennese operetta. Bixio's name is recorded in the history of Italian pop music, not only as a composer, but also as a publisher and record producer, founder of the music publishing house, " BIXIO CEMSA" in 1921 and later the record company, "CINEVOX", which is currently managed by his sons.
