Genaro Codina y Hernandez - Der Komponist Codina wurde 1852 geboren und er erhielt schon sehr früh eine musikalische Ausbildung. Er spielte verschiedene Instrumente und sein beliebtestes war die tragbare folk-Harve. Viele seiner Kompositionen wurden vom "Municipal Band of Zacatecas" aufgeführt, die von seinem Schwager dirigiert wurde. An einem Punk wurde Codina in Gefängnis von El Copre inhaftiert. Der Grund für diese Inhaftierung ist nicht bekannt, obwohl dieses in einer politisch brisanten Periode der mexikanischen Geschichte geschah. In seinem Land wird Codina mit großer Zuneigung gedacht. Er starb 1901 und seine Grabstätte befindet sich vor dem "Zacatecas State Capital".

Genaro Codina y Hernandez - The Composer Codina was born in 1852 and received music training at an early age. He played several instruments and his favorite was the portable folk harp. Although Codina composed a number of works in a variety of styles, he was an account by profession. Many of his compositions were performed by the Municipal Band of Zacatecas, which was conducted by his brother-in-law. At one point Codina was incarcerated in the prison of El Copre. The reasons for this imprisonment are unknown, although this did occur in a politically volatile period in Mexican history. Codina is remembered in his native country with great affection. He died in 1901, and his remains are buried in front of the Zacatecas State Capital
